Ajagajantara (1991 Film)
''Ajagajantara'' () is a 1991 Indian Kannada-language romantic black comedy film directed by Kashinath who himself stars in the film alongside Anjana and Sriraksha. Actor director Upendra did an extended cameo. The plot was loosely based on the 1988 novel ''Indecent Proposal'' which was adapted into 1993 American movie of the same name which inspired the 1994 Telugu movie ''Subhalagnam'' which in turn was remade in 1997 in Kannada again as ''Ganga Yamuna'' and also in Hindi as '' Judaai'' (1997). Plot The story revolves around a wife who puts up her husband for sale and the trouble that follows. Kashinath (actor)
Kashinatha Hathwara (8 May 1951 – 18 January 2018) was an Indian actor and filmmaker who primarily worked in Kannada films. He worked on Hindi and Malayalam movies. With a career spanning over three decades, Kashinath worked in over 40 films carving a niche for himself in comedy genre. He is credited for introducing new talents such as actor Upendra, musician V. Manohar and director Sunil Kumar Desai alongside many other technicians who went on to become successful in Kannada film industry. Making his debut as a director through the comedy-drama film ''Aparoopada Athithigalu'' (1976), Kashinath came into limelight with the suspense thriller ''Aparichita'' (1978). Vaijanath Basappa Biradar is an Indian comedian and actor who works in Kannada cinema. He has acted nearly 500 movies in Kannada. Lahari Recording Company is an Indian music company based in Bangalore. It owns a music label called "Lahari Music" also a film production company called "Lahari Films LLP".
