Aitbaar
''Aitbaar'' () is a 1985 Hindi film directed by Mukul Anand. It stars Raj Babbar, Dimple Kapadia, Suresh Oberoi, Danny Denzongpa, Sharat Saxena in pivotal roles. It was a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's 1954 thriller ''Dial M For Murder''. It was further remade in Tamil in 1985 as ''Saavi'' and in Malayalam in 1989 as ''New Year''. The film's music is by Bappi Lahiri with lyrics by Hasan Kamaal and Farooq Kaiser, who gave "''Kisi Nazar Ko Tera Intezar Aaj Bhi Hai''", a memorable ghazal duet by Asha Bhosle and Bhupinder Singh. Dimple Kapadia
Dimple Kapadia (born 8 June 1957) is an Indian actress predominantly appearing in Hindi films. Born and raised in Mumbai by wealthy parents, she aspired to become an actress from a young age and received her first opportunity through her father's efforts to launch her in the film industry. She was discovered at age 14 by the filmmaker Raj Kapoor, who cast her in the title role of his teen romance ''Bobby'' (1973), which opened to major commercial success and gained her wide public recognition. Bappi Aparesh Lahiri (born Alokesh Aparesh Lahiri; 27 November 1952 – 15 February 2022), also known as Bappi Da was an Indian singer, composer and record producer. Mukul S. Anand (11 October 1951 – 7 September 1997) was an Indian film director and producer. He was the nephew of veteran film scriptwriter Inder Raj Anand and cousin of actor and director Tinnu Anand. Career Mukul S. Bhupinder Singh (born Bhupinder Soin, 6 February 1940 – 18 July 2022) was an Indian musician, a ghazal singer and also a Bollywood playback singer. Early life Bhupinder Singh was born in Amritsar, Punjab to Natha Singhji, a musician and his introducer to music. Bhupinder's father was a stern teacher, and at one point, he detested music and its instruments. ''New Year'' is a 1989 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Viji Thampi. It is a remake of the 1985 Hindi film ''Aitbaar'', which in turn was based on ''Dial M for Murder''.
