Airport Link Line (Shanghai)
Airport link line is a commuter rail line currently under construction on the Shanghai Metropolitan Area Intercity Railway, Shanghai Suburban Railway, and will be run by China Railway. It runs from Shanghai Hongqiao railway station, Hongqiao railway station in Minhang District to Shanghai East railway station in Pudong. The 68.6-kilometer express line is expected to shorten the travel time between the airports of Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Hongqiao and Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Pudong from 90 minutes (by Line 2 (Shanghai Metro), Metro Line 2) to under 40 minutes. Construction started in June 2019. The line is expected to open at the end of 2024. Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is one of the two international airports of Shanghai and a significant airline hub of China. Hongqiao Airport mainly serves domestic and regional flights, although the airport also serves international flights. The airport is located near the town of Hongqiao in Changning District and Minhang District, west of downtown, and is closer to the city center than the area's primary international airport, Shanghai Pudong. Lingang Express Route
Nanhui New City () is a planned city located in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, China. It was formerly called Lingang New City (临港新城) until it was renamed in April 2012. Construction began in 2003 and is scheduled to be completed in 2020, with the German architecture company Gerkan, Marg and Partners leading the project. The project is estimated to have cost $4.5 billion. The city is aimed to house 450,000 to 800,000 residents while attracting 10 million annual tourists. Shanghai Pudong Airport APM is an automated people mover in the Pudong International Airport. In the initial phase, there are two lines, each connecting a terminal building and a satellite hall. The two lines are planned to be connected after the completion of Terminal 3 in the future. The line uses 4-car Type A metro trains, there is reservation to use 5-car Type A metro trains. The Huangpu (), formerly romanized as Whangpoo, is a river flowing north through Shanghai. The Bund and Lujiazui are located along the Huangpu River.
