Air chief marshal (abbreviated as Air Chf Mshl or ACM) is a Four-star rank, four-star commissioned air officer rank and title officially used to denote Commander-in-chief, supreme commander in the Pakistan Air Force for command and control. It is bestowed and commissioned by the Pakistan, Islamic Republic of Pakistan to a Three-star rank, three-star air marshal officer, and while it is officially described as the highest rank in Pakistan Armed Forces, uniformed services of Pakistan, it is equivalent to the rank of Admiral (Pakistan), admiral of Pakistan Navy, navy and General (Pakistan), general of Pakistan Army, army. Field marshal (or field-marshal, abbreviated as FM) is a five-star honorary rank in the Pakistan Army awarded by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to chief of army staff in recognition of distinguished service such as a major victory in a combat battle (a wartime victory). It is the highest rank in Pakistan uniformed services that ranks above general as well as air chief marshal and below none.
