Ain't She Tweet
''Ain't She Tweet'' is a 1952 Warner Bros. ''Looney Tunes'' cartoon directed by Friz Freleng. The short was released on June 21, 1952, and stars Sylvester and Tweety Bird. The title is a play on the song "Ain't She Sweet." Plot Sylvester stands outside a pet store window, watching Tweety (singing "Fiddle-De-Di") in the display area. Tweety angers Sylvester after the bird goes over to a mouse and they laugh at the cat, who throws a brick at the window in response. However, upon seeing a cop walk up behind Sylvester, the would-be feline vandal runs in front of the brick and absorbs the blow. As Sylvester is planning to cut through the glass window with a glass cutter, a deliveryman takes Tweety away, to be delivered to Granny's house. Sylvester follows the deliveryman and rushes into the yard, only to discover a whole army of bulldogs. Friz Freleng
Isadore "Friz" Freleng (August 21, 1905May 26, 1995), credited as I. Freleng early in his career, was an American animator, cartoonist, director, producer, and composer known for his work at Warner Bros. Cartoons on the ''Looney Tunes'' and '' Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons. In total he created more than 300 cartoons. He introduced and/or developed several of the studio's biggest stars, including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Tweety, Sylvester, Yosemite Sam (to whom he was said to bear more than a passing resemblance), and Speedy Gonzales. The senior director at Warners' Termite Terrace studio, Freleng directed more cartoons than any other director in the studio (a total of 266), and is also the most honored of the Warner directors, having won five Academy Awards and three Emmy Awards. Granny (Looney Tunes)
Emma Webster, better known as Granny, is a Warner Bros. Cartoons character created by Friz Freleng, best known from ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' animated shorts of the 1950s and 1960s. She is the owner of Tweety (and more often than not, Sylvester and Hector). Her voice was first provided by Bea Benaderet from 1950 through 1955, then by June Foray for almost 60 years then Candi Milo took over in 2017 following Foray’s death. A Bird In A Guilty Cage
''A Bird in a Guilty Cage'' is a 1952 ''Looney Tunes'' animated short directed by Friz Freleng. The short was released on August 30, 1952, and stars Tweety and Sylvester. The title is a pun on the song "A Bird in a Gilded Cage". Plot Sylvester is at a store called Stacy's, where he notices Tweety in the window stand. Going through the package slot, he closes the curtains and climbs up to Tweety's cage, who asks him what he's going to do. After asiding to the audience, "How naive can ya get?", Sylvester replies that they're going to play a game called Sandwich, involving Tweety getting sandwiched in two slices of bread and nearly eaten ("I don't wike dat game!"). Tweety Bird
Tweety is a yellow canary in the Warner Bros. ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' series of animated cartoons. The name "Tweety" is a play on words, as it originally meant "sweetie", along with "tweet" being an English onomatopoeia for the sounds of birds. His characteristics are based on Red Skelton's famous "Junior the Mean Widdle Kid." He appeared in 46 cartoons during the golden age, made between 1942 and 1964. ''Gift Wrapped'' is a 1952 Warner Bros. ''Looney Tunes'' animated cartoon directed by Friz Freleng. The short was released on February 16, 1952, and stars Tweety and Sylvester. Plot Sylvester awakes on Christmas morning to find presents under the Christmas tree, but is disappointed when his gift is just a rubber mouse. When he hears singing coming from what appears to be a gift-wrapped birdcage and sees that it is labeled for Granny, he looks inside and sees Tweety. Deciding he wants Tweety as his present, he switches the tags on the gifts just as Granny comes downstairs. Granny gives the cage to Sylvester and opens the box with the rubber mouse.
