Ain't No Little Girl
''Ain't No Little Girl'' is a 2016 extended play (EP) by Australian country singer Kasey Chambers. Three of the four tracks from the EP also appear on Chambers' 2017 album, Dragonfly. The title track of the EP is intended as the answer to the question posed by her 2002 number one single "Not Pretty Enough". Chambers said: "The song has all my insecurities and vulnerability and broken hearts in there and I still don't know what the f... I am doing half the time but now I also have strength." Elsewhere, Chambers said, "It's the first song in my life I truly feel 'wrote me' rather than me writing it. I wrote it a few years back and never connected to it much because I honestly felt like I wasn't strong enough personally or vocally to really 'own it.' Kasey Chambers
Kasey Chambers (born 4 June 1976) is an Australian country singer-songwriter and musician born in Mount Gambier. She is the daughter of fellow musicians, Diane and Bill Chambers, and the younger sister of musician and producer, Nash Chambers. All four were members of family country music group in Dead Ringer Band, in Bowral, New South Wales, from 1992 to 1998, with Chambers starting her solo career thereafter. Five of her twelve studio albums have reached No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, ''Barricades & Brickwalls'' (September 2001), ''Wayward Angel'' (May 2004), ''Carnival'' (August 2006) ''Rattlin' Bones'' (April 2008) and '' Dragonfly'' (January 2017). Paul Maurice Kelly (born 13 January 1955) is an Australian rock music singer-songwriter and guitarist. He has performed solo, and has led numerous groups, including the Dots, the Coloured Girls, and the Messengers. ''Bittersweet'' is the tenth studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Kasey Chambers. It was released in August 2014 and debuted at No. 2 in Australia, making it her sixth top 5 album in Australia. It was the first album of Chambers' not to be produced by her brother Nash Chambers. The album was produced instead by Nick DiDia. Kasey says for this record she needed something different: “I wanted to have an experience making a record that I had never had before. ''Dragonfly'' is the eleventh studio album by Australian singer-songwriter Kasey Chambers. It was released on 20 January 2017. Chambers said working with Paul Kelly on the album "was a dream", also adding: "Paul brought out a whole new side of me, but then I also got to enjoy the comforts of recording with the person who knows and has shaped my original sound better than anyone, my brother Nash, along with my live touring band who have become a huge part on my sound. This double album shows who I am as much as any piece of work I have ever done." "Not Pretty Enough" is a song by Australian country singer-songwriter Kasey Chambers, produced by her brother Nash Chambers for her second studio album, ''Barricades & Brickwalls'' (2001). It was released as the album's third single on 14 January 2002 in Australia as a CD single. It became a number-one hit in Australia the same year, and it also found success in New Zealand, where it reached number four. In the United States, it was serviced to adult album alternative radio in late January 2002. The song was written by Chambers as a commentary on the reluctance of commercial radio stations towards playing her music, despite her being an established performer.
