Ahmed Ali (Bangladeshi Politician)
Ahmed Ali (1 March 1932 – 11 January 2020) was a Bangladeshi politician and lawyer belonging to Bangladesh Awami League. He was elected as a member of the East Pakistan Provincial Assembly from Comilla-5. Later, he was appointed as a member of the Constituent Assembly of Bangladesh. He took part in the Language Movement. He was an organizer of the Liberation War of Bangladesh too. Biography Ali was born on 1 March 1932 in Nabinagar, Brahmanbaria. He took part in the Language Movement. He completed graduation in law from the University of Dhaka. Nabinagar ( bn, নবীনগর ) is an upazila of Brahmanbaria District in the Division of Chattogram, Bangladesh. Nabinagar Thana was turned into an upazila in 1983. Geography Nabinagar is located at . Flag Of Bangladesh
The national flag, national flag of Bangladesh, was adopted officially on 17 January 1972. It consists of a red disc or sun on top of a dark green banner. The red disc is offset slightly toward the hoist so that it appears centered when the flag is flying. While there are many interpretations, according to Shib Narayan Das who put the map on the first flag design, green on the flag represented the landscape and the red circle represented the sun, symbolising a new day and end of oppression. The flag is based on a similar flag used during the Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971, which had a yellow map of the country inside the red disc. In 1972 this map was removed from the flag. One reason given was the difficulty for rendering the map correctly on both sides of the flag.
