Ahankaar (1995 Film)
''Ahankaar'' is a 1995 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Ashim Samanta, starring Mithun Chakraborty, Mamta Kulkarni, Mohnish Bahl, Prem Chopra and Gulshan Grover Plot The plot of the movie centers around Prabhat (Mithun Chakraborty). Prabhat's love interest is Naina, a childhood friend. After an accident in which Prabhat saves his mother, he ends up with an inability to speak. A magnanimous factory owner offers him a job soon after, and Prabhat's work supports his family (half-brother, sister, and step-mother), both while his father is in and out of jail. After some time, Prabhat uncovers a plot against his employer and gets the criminal incarcerated, causing him to receive a promotion to manager. However, Prabhat nominates his half-brother, Surya, for the job. Prabhat is eventually ousted from the job. Surya is convinced by some gangsters to commit fraud, which Prabhat sets out to redress. Ashim Samanta
Ashim Samanta is an Indian film and television director and producer, and the son of film director and Shakti Films founder Shakti Samanta. Shortly after receiving his bachelor's degree in commerce from Bombay University in 1976, Samanta started his career in India's film industry as assistant director to Brij Sadanah on ''Bombay 405 Miles''. In 1982, he directed his first film, ''Aamne Samne (1982 film), Aamne Samne''. He has directed several films since then. He also directed the 52-episode sitcom ''Dil Vil Pyar Vyar'' for Sony TV in 1999. In 2005, he started working on ''Antariksh – Ek Amar Katha'', a science fiction series for Star Plus. Abhijeet Bhattacharya (born 30 October 1958), better known as Abhijeet, is a Bollywood playback singer. Abhijeet has sung 6034 songs in over 1000 films. Personal life Abhijeet was born to a Kanpur-based Bengali businessman turned editor Dhirendranath Bhattacharya, and his wife Kamladevi Bhattacharya in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
