Agvaansamdangiin Sükhbat
Agvaansamdangiin Sükhbat ( mn, Агваансамдангийн Сүхбат; born June 30, 1971) is a successful Mongolian wrestler with three championship wins (2000, 2001, 2004) and first Mongolian wrestler to officially declare retirement in 2006. His rank/title, showing respect within the wrestling world, is "Dayar dursagdah, dalai dayan, avraga Sükhbat" literally meaning "Renowned by all, oceanic, titan Sükhbat," essentially the highest rank possible in Mongolian wrestling. He was also a two times winner (1995, 1997) in the Amateur Sumo World Championships. Töv Province
Töv ( mn, Төв, , ; "central") is one of the 21 Aimags of Mongolia, aimags (provinces) of Mongolia. The national capital Ulaanbaatar is located roughly at its center, but the city itself is administrated as an independent municipality. Geography The Aimag includes the western part of the Khentii Mountains, the mountains around the capital, as well as rolling steppe in the south and west. The most interesting body of water is the Tuul River, which crosses Ulaanbaatar and later joins the Orkhon River. Freestyle Wrestling
Freestyle wrestling is a style of wrestling originated from Great Britain and the United States. Along with Greco-Roman, it is one of the two styles of wrestling contested in the Olympic Games. American high school and men's college wrestling is conducted under different rules and is termed scholastic and collegiate wrestling. American collegiate women's wrestling is conducted under freestyle rules. Freestyle wrestling, like collegiate wrestling, has its greatest origins in catch-as-catch-can wrestling. In both styles the ultimate goal is to throw and pin the opponent to the mat, which results in an immediate win. 1997 East Asian Games
The 2nd East Asian Games were held in Busan, South Korea from May 10 to May 19, 1997. Originally, the second edition of the East Asian Games was to be held in Pyongyang, North Korea, in September 1995. However, North Korea dropped the games due to the unstable policial situation in the Korean Peninsula. The 1997 edition featured nine nations competing in events in 13 sports. North Korea was the only East Asian member nation which did not field a team.
