After Hours is the third studio album by American neo-soul artist Rahsaan Patterson, released on October 26, 2004, under Artistry Music. The album is his first independent release on the record label. The album debuted at #65 on ''Billboard's'' Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. In 2003, he released the song "The One for Me", which originally appeared on the 2002 Steve Harvey compilation album ''Sign of Things to Come: Steve's Pick of the Year''. The singles "April's Kiss," "So Hot," and "Forever Yours" received heavy rotation airplay on radio, but failed to chart on Billboards singles chart. Production for the album includes Patterson, Jamey Jaz, Van Hunt, and Steve "Silk" Hurley as his core writing and production team, along with members of his band, John "Jubu" Smith, Keith Crouch, background vocalists Trina Broussard and RaRe Valverde. Rahsaan Patterson
Rahsaan Patterson (born January 11, 1974) is an American singer and actor, best known for portraying "The Kid" on the 1980s television show ''Kids Incorporated.'' Career 1984: ''Kids Incorporated'' After appearing in a school talent show in 1984, Patterson auditioned for the television show ''Kids Incorporated''. He was cast as "The Kid", and remained on the show for the next few years, appearing alongside such future stars as Fergie, Renee Sands, Martika, Mario Lopez and Shanice. Mike City (born Michael Flowers) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known for producing the singles "I Wish" for Carl Thomas, " Heard It All Before" for Sunshine Anderson, "Full Moon" for Brandy and "One Woman Man" for Dave Hollister. Career He became a mentor of Anderson's after a friend discovered her singing a song by Lalah Hathaway in the cafeteria line at North Carolina Central University. Van Hunt (born March 8, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He released his debut album, ''Van Hunt'', in 2004, and a follow-up, ''On the Jungle Floor'', in 2006, both on Capitol Records.
