''Adventures of the Queen'' is a 1975 American made-for-television drama film starring Robert Stack. It was made as a pilot for a potential TV series but screened as a stand-alone TV movie. Plot The captain and doctor on a cruise liner have to deal with various crises, including a hidden bomb, a suicide attempt and a billionaire. John Gay (screenwriter)
John Gay (April 1, 1924 – February 4, 2017) was an American screenwriter, born in Whittier, California. Career Gay began his career writing episodes for television anthology series such as ''Lux Video Theatre'', '' Kraft Television Theatre'', and ''Goodyear Television Playhouse''. He made his film screenwriting debut in 1956 with ''Run Silent, Run Deep''. Linden Chiles
Truman Linden Chiles (March 22, 1933 – May 15, 2013) was an American character actor. Early years Chiles was born in St. Louis, Missouri but grew up in Barrington, Illinois. He graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism (majoring in advertising). He also studied at Purdue University and UCLA and served in the Army. Career Chiles portrayed Charles Hanson on CBS's ''East Side/West Side'', Steve Kirkland on NBC's ''Convoy'', Henry DeWitt on NBC's '' Banacek'', and Paul Hunter on NBC's ''James at 15''.
