Adrián Salcedo
Adrián José Salcedo de Jesús (born 24 October 1994) is a Dominican footballer who plays for Atlántico FC and the Dominican Republic national team as a midfielder. He also holds Spanish citizenship. Club career Born in Santo Domingo, Salcedo moved to the Balearic Islands as a child and began playing football there when he was nine. He graduated from RCD Mallorca's youth setup. He made his senior debuts with the reserves in the 2011–12 season, in Segunda División B. In the 2013 summer Salcedo joined another Spanish third division side, CE Constància. He only played three matches in the 2013–14 campaign and the team descended to Tercera División. Salcedo began the next season as a player of 90 minutes for Constància, but he was injured in Week 6. After his recovery, in January 2015, he joined fellow Tercera División team UE Alcúdia where remained until the end of the season. 2017 Caribbean Cup Qualification
The 2017 Caribbean Cup qualification began in March 2016. The qualification competition determined which Caribbean national teams would play in the 2017 Caribbean Cup and the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Participants 25 teams from the 31 CFU members entered the qualification tournament. Sint Maarten participated for the first time since 1997. Draw Twenty five nations were involved in the draw, which took place on 16 January 2016, 21:00 AST ( UTC−4), at the Jolly Beach Resort & Spa resort in St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda. Four teams were given a bye due to their involvement in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – CONCACAF Fourth Round. The Bermuda national football team represents Bermuda in international football, and is controlled by the Bermuda Football Association, which is a member of the CONCACAF. The Liga Dominicana de Fútbol is the first professional football league in Dominican Republic, it was launched in March 2015. For sponsorship reasons it is known as ''LDF Banco Popular''. History Prior to the league's establishment, football in the Dominican Republic is only played in amateur level, partly due to football not being the top sport among Dominicans, who are more inclined to baseball and basketball.
