Administrator Of Ascension
The Administrator of Ascension is the head of government and representative of the Governor of St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha in Ascension Island. The role of the Administrator includes that of chairing the territory's Island Council which consists of five or seven elected members. The Administrator of Ascension is formally referred to as "His Honour" or "Her Honour." Governor Of St Helena
The Governor of Saint Helena is the representative of the British monarch in the United Kingdom's overseas territory of Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. The Governor is appointed by the monarch on the official advice of His Majesty's Government (HMG). The role of the governor is to act as the ''de facto'' head of state as well as the ''de jure'' head of government and commander-in-chief of the territory, which consists of the islands of Saint Helena and Ascension and the group of islands of Tristan da Cunha. The governor's responsibilities include internal security, external affairs, the administration of justice, finance, shipping and employment, as well as disciplinary action in respect of any public officer. Marc Holland (born 1974) is a British civil servant and diplomat. From August 2014 until March 2018, Holland has served as the Administrator of Ascension. Career Holland was educated at Wadham College, a college of the University of Oxford. Holland joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2002. Holland served at the Permanent Representation of the United Kingdom to the European Union in Brussels and then the British Embassy in Berlin, working on EU and labour issues. Until 2014 he served as the Deputy Head of the Future of Europe Department in London. Prior to that Holland had worked Department of Trade and Industry and as a planning and information officer in the education department of the Croydon London Borough Council. Ross Patrick Denny (born 1955) is a British diplomat who has been the British Ambassador to Costa Rica and Nicaragua since 2015.
