Adela De La Torre De Lope
Adela de la Torre de Lope (born 14 July 1962) is a Spanish politician belonging to the People's Party. She served as member of the 8th Cortes of Castilla-La Mancha (2011–2015) as well as Mayor of Brihuega (2007–2015). Biography Born in Cogollor, she earned a licentiate degree in law. In her career, she specialised as real estate administrator. She started in politics in 2007, as she stood first in the electoral list of the People's Party (PP) list vis-à-vis the 2007 Brihuega municipal election. She was invested as Mayor of Brihuega (the first female one in the history of the municipality) on 16 June 2007. She went on to command another mandate as mayor in 2011. She became a member of the regional legislature in representation of Guadalajara in December 2011, covering the vacant seat left by Antonio Román Jasanada. People's Party (Spain)
The People's Party ( es, Partido Popular ; known mostly by its acronym, PP ) is a conservative and Christian-democratic political party in Spain. The People's Party was a 1989 re-foundation of People's Alliance (AP), a party led by former minister of the dictatorship Manuel Fraga and founded back in 1976 as alliance of post-Francoist proto-parties. The new party combined the conservative AP with several small Christian democratic and liberal parties (the party call this fusion of views "the Reformist Centre"). Brihuega
Brihuega is a municipality located in the Guadalajara (province), province of Guadalajara, Spain. According to the 2007 census (Instituto Nacional de Estadística (Spain), INE), the municipality had a population of 2,835 inhabitants. In 1710 a hard-fought Battle of Brihuega, battle took place in the township between James Stanhope, 1st Earl Stanhope, Lord Stanhope's troops and the Franco-Spanish army during the War of the Spanish Succession. The Cortes of Castilla–La Mancha (Spanish: ''Cortes de Castilla-La Mancha'') is the unicameral legislature of Castilla–La Mancha, an Autonomous communities in Spain, autonomous community of Spain. Guadalajara is one of the five constituencies ( es, circunscripciones) represented in the Cortes of Castilla–La Mancha, the regional legislature of the autonomous community of Castilla–La Mancha.
