Adam Dalgleish
Adam Dalgleish (1 September 1868 – 14 September 1938) was a Scotland national rugby union team, Scotland international rugby union player. Rugby Union career Amateur career Dalgleish played rugby union for Gala RFC, Gala. He played for Gala from 1886 to 1896. He captained the club for three seasons. He also excelled in the Sevens game. Provincial career In a match for East of Scotland District (rugby union), East of Scotland District against West of Scotland District (rugby union), West of Scotland District he displayed his notable dribbling prowess. Twice he managed to dribble the length of the pitch. He played for Provinces District (rugby union), Provinces District against Cities District (rugby union), Cities District on 23 December 1893. He was due to play for South of Scotland District (rugby union), South of Scotland District in their match against Cumberland on 10 February 1894, however he was replaced by Renwick of Gala. Bellingham ( ) is a village and civil parish in Northumberland, to the north-west of Newcastle upon Tyne and is situated on the Hareshaw Burn at its confluence with the River North Tyne.
