Adalbert Deșu
Adalbert Deșu ( hu, Béla Dezső, ; 24 March 1909 – 6 June 1937) was a Romanian football striker. He was a member of Romania national football team which competed at the 1930 FIFA World Cup in Uruguay. Deșu was also the first scorer for Romania at a FIFA World Cup. He scored a goal in the first minute of his team's first group game of the first football world cup. Career Deșu, of Hungarian origin, was born in Gátalja (Gătaia) and started his football career in his hometown. After a while he moved to Reşiţa, playing for two years at UDR. In 1929, he was called up to the Romania national football team for the first time, scoring in a friendly against Bulgaria. He was also picked up for the Romanian team which competed in 1930 FIFA World Cup. The chairman of the club where he played, Wolfgang Auschnit, refused to pay him the salary in the period of the World Cup. After the World Cup, Deșu eventually left the club because of the chairman. Gătaia
Gătaia ( hu, Gátalja; german: Gataja, archaically ''Gotthal''; sr, Гатаја, Gataja) is a town in Timiș County, Romania. It administers five villages: Butin, Percosova, Sculia, Șemlacu Mare, and Șemlacu Mic. Declared a town in 2004, it also administered four other villages until that time, when they were split off to form Birda commune. Name Geography Gătaia lies on both banks of the Bârzava River. Ernst Lehner
Ernst Lehner (7 November 1912 – 10 January 1986) was a German footballer. He was born in Augsburg and died in Aschaffenburg. International He played for the Germany national football team in the 1934 FIFA World Cup and the 1938 FIFA World Cup. In total, he made 65 appearances and scored 31 goals for the national team. Lehner was a member of the Breslau Eleven that beat Denmark 8–0 in Breslau in 1937 and went on to win 10 out of 11 games played during that year. His position was that of an outside right. He was also part of Germany's squad at the 1936 Summer Olympics. Career Ernst Lehner was one of the paciest and most skilled outside rights of the mid-/late-1930s. Lucien Laurent (10 December 1907 – 11 April 2005) was a French association football player who played as a Forward (association football), forward. Playing for France national football team, France, at the 1930 FIFA World Cup, 1930 World Cup he scored the first ever FIFA World Cup goal against Mexico national football team, Mexico. Estadio Pocitos
Estadio Pocitos was a multi-use stadium located in the Pocitos district of Montevideo, Uruguay. The stadium, owned by C.A. Peñarol, was mainly used for football matches from 1921 to 1933. It was demolished later in the 1930s when Peñarol started to play in the Estadio Centenario as its home field, and additionally due to the increasing urbanisation of Montevideo.
