Aco Karamanov ( mk, Ацо Караманов; bg, Александър Василев Караманов) (January 31, 1927 - October 7, 1944) was a Macedonian poet and partisan. In Bulgaria he is considered Bulgarian. Karamanov was born in Radoviš, then in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. Since the beginning of his education he exhibited affinity to writing, He started writing songs at the early age of 9 years. Between September 5, and October 7, 1944 Karamanov fought against the withdrawing Germans. This talented writer lived for only 17 years, but his human messages written in poems are left to testify for the war. He is considered one of the founders of contemporary Macedonian literature. Aleksandar "Aco" Petrović (; born 16 February 1959) is a Croatian professional basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the Croatia men's national team. Playing career A point guard or shooting guard, Petrović had achieved prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The pro clubs he played for included: Šibenka, Cibona, Scavolini Pesaro, Novi Zagreb and Racing Luxembourg. He was among the 105 player nominees for the 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors list. Aleksandar "Aco" Petrović ( sr-cyr, Александар Петровић; 14 October 1959 – 1 December 2014) was a Serbian basketball coach. Aco Šopov ( mk, Ацо Шопов ; 1923 in Štip – 1982 in Skopje) was a Macedonian poet. He was considered one of the most important poets of Yugoslavia. He took part in World War II in Yugoslavia (1941–45) and his poems written at the time were published as ''Pesni'' (Poems) in Belgrade and Kumanovo in 1944, and in Štip the following year. ''Pesni'' was the first poetry collection published in Macedonian in SR Macedonia after the war. Aco Stojkov ( mk, Ацо Стојков; born 29 April 1983) is a Macedonian retired footballer who last played for Osogovo. Club career Previously he has played with national teammate Goran Pandev in F.C. Internazionale Milano Primavera, 2001/02, which won the youth league title. He was then loaned to lower-level teams in Italy to gain some experience but failed to impress Internazionale and his contract with them expired. Stojkov has since played in Poland, Belgium, Serbia, Hungary, and currently plays for Aarau in Switzerland.
