Ivory Coast
Ivory Coast, also known as Côte d'Ivoire, officially the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, is a country on the southern coast of West Africa. Its capital is Yamoussoukro, in the centre of the country, while its largest city and economic centre is the port city of Abidjan. It borders Guinea to the northwest, Liberia to the west, Mali to the northwest, Burkina Faso to the northeast, Ghana to the east, and the Gulf of Guinea (Atlantic Ocean) to the south. Its official language is French, and indigenous languages are also widely used, including Bété, Baoulé, Dioula, Dan, Anyin, and Cebaara Senufo. Patrick Achi
Patrick Achi (born 17 November 1955) is an Ivorian politician who serves as Prime Minister of Ivory Coast since March 2021. A member of the Rally of the Republicans, he studied at Supélec and Stanford University and specialises in engineering and infrastructure. He has also worked as the government spokesman for President Alassane Ouattara. Early life and education Achi, born in Paris to an Ivorian father (from the Attié tribe located in the South region) and a French Breton mother. He was educated in France and the United States. Kandia Camara
Kandia Camara (born 17 June 1959) is an Ivorian teacher and politician who is the minister of foreign affairs in the government of President Alassane Outtara. She is a professional handball player and was part of the ASC Bouaké team that won African Cup of Champion Clubs in 1981. Education and career Camara earned a degree in English from the University of Abidjan and an Advanced Studies Certificate in Education from Lancaster University in England. Camara is a professional high-level handball player and a two-time champion of Côte d'Ivoire in 1974 and 1980 and won the African Cup of Champion Clubs in 1981 with ASC Bouaké. Téné Birahima Ouattara
Téné Birahima Ouattara (born 1955/56) is an Ivorian politician who is currently the Minister of Defense of Ivory Coast. He has previously served as the country's Minister of Presidential Affairs and head of the national intelligence department. He is the brother of Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara. Early life Téné Birahima Ouattara has 11 brothers and one sister. He is the younger brother of Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara. Kaba Nialé (born 1962) is an Ivorian politician who has been serving as Minister of Planning and Development and President of the Board of Governors of African Development Bank (AFDB) since 2019. Nialé is the first woman to head the Ministry of Economy and Finance in Côte d'Ivoire. Amadou Koné
Amadou Koné is a writer from Cote d'Ivoire. Childhood He is the son of Soma Denbie (said Mamadou Koné) and Kahou Sirima (known Karidia Koulibali). Amadou Koné was born in May 1953 in the small village of Tangora in the circle of Banfora, today Burkina Faso. The Politics of Ivory Coast takes place in a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the President of Ivory Coast is both head of state and head of government, and of a multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the President and the Government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and parliament. The capital since 1983 is Yamoussoukro; however, Abidjan remains the commercial center. Most countries maintain their embassies in Abidjan.
