An accident is an unintended, normally unwanted event that was not directly caused by humans. The term ''accident'' implies that nobody should be blamed, but the event may have been caused by unrecognized or unaddressed risks. Most researchers who study unintentional injury avoid using the term ''accident'' and focus on factors that increase risk of severe injury and that reduce injury incidence and severity. For example, when a tree falls down during a wind storm, its fall may not have been caused by humans, but the tree's type, size, health, location, or improper maintenance may have contributed to the result. Most car wrecks are not true accidents; however English speakers started using that word in the mid-20th century as a result of media manipulation by the US automobile industry. ''Accident'' is a 2012 Bengali film directed by Nandita Roy & Shiboprosad Mukherjee. The story of the film deals with road accident and its consequences in Kolkata. The director duo got motivated by Keshtopur road incident in April 2008 where at least 20 people were killed and nearly 40 were injured. Plot synopsis Arko, an aspiring bowler, wants to pursue his career in cricket. However, a torn ligament puts an end to his dreams. He tries his luck in various other jobs, but all in vain. ''Only When I Laugh'' is a British television sitcom made by Yorkshire Television for ITV. It aired between 29 October 1979 and 16 December 1982 and was set in the ward of an NHS hospital. The title is in response to the question, "Does it hurt?". It starred James Bolam, Peter Bowles, and Christopher Strauli as patients Roy Figgis, Archie Glover, and Norman Binns. Mr. Gordon Thorpe, their consultant surgeon, was played by Richard Wilson; and Gupte, the staff nurse from Delhi, was played by Derrick Branche. "Accident" is the sixth and final episode of the first series of British sitcom ''Bottom''. It was first broadcast on 22 October 1991. This episode sees the first appearance of Eddie's "real friends" Spudgun ( Steven O'Donnell) and Dave Hedgehog (Christopher Ryan). Synopsis Richie breaks his leg, but he is determined not to let it spoil his birthday celebrations. Plot The episode begins with Eddie sitting down at the breakfast table looking severely hungover. Richie then enters the room in his pyjamas singing " Happy Birthday to Me", much to Eddie's dismay. Richie then begins his annual birthday "routine" of reading what are obviously forged cards, including some supposedly from Sue Carpenter, General Pinochet, Rod Steiger, and "all the lads on the Ark Royal". ''Watch Out!'' is the second studio album from Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire, released on June 8, 2004. Reserection EP
''Reserection'' is an extended play (EP) by English alternative dance band Saint Etienne and French singer Étienne Daho, under the collective name St. Etienne Daho. It was released on 29 September 1995 by Virgin Records. The title is a portmanteau of the words ''resurrection'' and ''erection'', with the former referring to rumours at the time that Daho was HIV-positive, or even that he had already died. The opening track, "Reserection", puts the matter to rest as Daho states that he will rise from his "''cendres fiction''" ("fictitious ashes") "''encore et encore''" ("again and again"). The only English song on the EP, "Accident", is a reworked version of Daho's 1984 French-language single "Week-end à Rome", with original English lyrics. Daho's speech from "Reserection" is also reprised within the song. John Greaves (musician)
John Greaves (born 23 February 1950) is a British bass guitarist and composer who was a member of Henry Cow and has collaborated with Peter Blegvad. He was also a member of progressive rock band National Health and jazz-rock supergroup Soft Heap, and has recorded several solo albums, including ''Accident'' (1982), ''Parrot Fashions'' (1984), ''The Caretaker'' (2001) and ''Greaves Verlaine'' (2008). Biography Greaves was born in Prestatyn and grew up in Wrexham in northeast Wales. At the age of 12, he was given a bass guitar by his father, a Welsh dancehall bandleader, and within six months, he was playing in his father's orchestra. He continued playing in the orchestra for four years, during which time its varied musical styles gave Greaves valuable musician and arranger skills. Nicholas Mosley
Nicholas Mosley, 3rd Baron Ravensdale, 7th Baronet, MC, FRSL (25 June 1923 – 28 February 2017) was an English novelist. Life Mosley was born in London in 1923. He was the eldest son of Sir Oswald Mosley, 6th Baronet, a British politician, and his first wife, Lady Cynthia Mosley, a daughter of The 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston (Viceroy of India and later, at the time of Nicholas's birth, Foreign Secretary). In 1932 his father, Sir Oswald Mosley, founded the British Union of Fascists and became an open supporter of Benito Mussolini.
