Aarne Honkavaara Trophy
The Aarne Honkavaara trophy is an ice hockey trophy given by the Finnish Liiga to the player who scores the most goals during regular season play. Ice Hockey
Ice hockey (or simply hockey) is a team sport played on ice skates, usually on an ice skating rink with lines and markings specific to the sport. It belongs to a family of sports called hockey. Jukka Vilander
Jukka Vilander (born 27 November 1962) is a former professional Finnish ice hockey forward. He is a four time Finnish champion with HC TPS (1989, 1990, 1991, 1993) and is 1996 Danish Champion with EfB Ishockey. He has made SM-liiga All-Star Team in 1988–89 season. Vilander has represented Finland men's national ice hockey team in three Ice Hockey World Championships. Vesa Viitakoski
Vesa Ilmari Viitakoski (born February 13, 1971 in Lappeenranta, Finland) is a former professional ice hockey player. Career Viitakoski started his professional career in his home town, Lappeenranta, playing for two seasons in the local club, SaiPa. When SaiPa was relegated at the end of the 1990 SM-liiga season, Viitakoski moved to Tappara Tampere. After three seasons there and a strong performance in the national team, especially in the 1992 IIHF World Championships from which Team Finland came home with silver medals, he signed with the Calgary Flames. All in all, Viitakoski appeared in 23 NHL games with the Flames in the 1993–94, 94–95 and 95–96 seasons, scoring two goals and providing four assists. He also played 198 AHL games as a member of the Saint John Flames and Cornwall Aces squads, with a point total of 72+106=178. Dale B. McTavish (born February 28, 1972) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played nine games in the National Hockey League for the Calgary Flames in 1996–97, recording one goal and two assists. Playing career McTavish was born in Eganville, Ontario. He played four seasons of junior hockey with the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League. He helped lead the Petes to the league championship in 1992–93, and a Memorial Cup berth. Petri Johannes Varis (born May 13, 1969) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey forward. He was drafted by the San Jose Sharks as their 7th-round pick in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. Rauman Lukko (Finnish for "lock") is a Finnish sports club based in Rauma, Finland, best known for its men’s professional ice hockey team. The club was founded as Rauma Woodin Lukko in 1936. Kai Nurminen
Kai Ilmari Nurminen (born March 29, 1969) is a Finnish former professional ice hockey forward, who last played with Herlev Hornets in the Danish Oddset Ligaen. Career Nurminen started and played most of his ice hockey career with TPS in SM-liiga. He has also played for two seasons in the Swedish Elitserien. During the 1994–1995 season, he played successfully with Esa Keskinen for HV71, together making up a fearsome duo. For the 1996–97 season, he was contracted by Los Angeles Kings in NHL. Marko Jantunen
Marko Jantunen (born February 14, 1971) is a Finnish ice hockey forward. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft as their 11th round pick, 239th overall. Playing career Jantunen began his career in Kiekko-Reipas (later Hockey-Reipas) in 1988, and played there for four seasons. For the 1992–93 season he transferred to KalPa, and in 1993–94 he played for TPS, where he won his first SM-liiga medal, a silver one.
