Aamne Samne (1967 Film)
''Aamne Samne'' () is a 1967 Hindi mystery film produced and directed by Suraj Prakash. The film stars Shashi Kapoor, Sharmila Tagore, Prem Chopra, Rajindernath and Madan Puri. The film's music is by Kalyanji Anandji. Plot Deepak Verma ( Shashi Kapoor) is on trial for the murder of his wealthy wife Vimla, but is acquitted and set free. Deepak gets possession of all his wife's wealth and sets out to Bombay and starts a new life under the alias Gopal Mittal. Sapna (Sharmila Tagore) is his wealthy neighbor who finds Gopal annoying and believes that Gopal is stalking her. Soon, Sapna falls for Gopal's charms, though her brother Pran ( Madan Puri) wants Sapna to marry Prem (Prem Chopra). ''Suraj Prakash'' (Gurmukhi: ਸੂਰਜ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ''lit.'' "The Light of the Sun"), also called ''Gur Partap Suraj Granth'' (Gurmukhi: ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਸੂਰਜ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ), is a popular and monumental hagiographic text about Sikh Gurus written by Kavi Santokh Singh (1787–1843) and published in 1843 CE. Kamal Kapoor (22 February 1920 – 2 August 2010) was an Indian actor and producer who acted in around 600 Hindi, Punjabi and Gujarati films. Early and personal life Kamal Kapoor was born in 1920 in Peshawar, North-West Frontier Province, British India. Kapoor completed his studies in Lahore's DAV college.
