Gujranwala Cricket Team
Gujranwala cricket team, from the city of Gujranwala in Gujranwala District in the east of Punjab province, played in Pakistan's domestic first-class cricket competitions from 1983-84 to 1986-87, and from 1997-98 to 2002-03. 1980s For the 1983-84 season the Pakistan Cricket Board expanded the BCCP Patron's Trophy, and Gujranwala were one of several new teams to play at first-class level. Over the next four seasons they played 13 matches, winning two, losing six and drawing five. Both their victories were against Lahore Division, in 1984-85 and 1985-86. In the 1985-86 victory, by an innings and 41 runs, Farhat Masood had match figures of 10 for 56 (6 for 37 and 4 for 19), which remained Gujranwala's best match figures. He played 67 first-class and 46 List A matches for several domestic sides in Pakistan between 1983 and 2003. Early life Wasim was born on October 28, 1960, in Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan. Career Wasim's first-class career began with Gujranwala, and he later played for first-class cricket teams such as Railways (1986-1996), Pakistan Automobiles Corporation (1987/88), Pakistan Customs (1998-2000), Biman Bangladesh Airlines (2000/01), and Sialkot (2001/02). Zahid Saeed (born July 5, 1981 in Alo Mahar, Punjab) is a right-handed Pakistani cricketer who bowls left-arm at a fast-medium pace. Abdur Rehman (cricketer)
Abdur Rehman (Punjabi, ur, عبدالرّحمٰن; born 1 March 1980, Sialkot, Punjab) is a Pakistani former cricketer who played for Pakistan in all formats. He is a slow left-arm orthodox bowler and a left-handed batsman. In October 2018, he announced his retirement from international cricket. Domestic career Rehman in 1999 took hauls of five and six wickets in successive matches while representing Pakistan Under-19 against South Africa. He was picked for the side even though he only had two first-class outings. Shahid Nazir
Shahid Nazir (Urdu: شاہد نذیر) (born 4 December 1977) is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his Test debut for Pakistan against Zimbabwe at Sheikhupura in 1996, and immediately received much criticism from the spectators whose local favourite Aaqib Javed he was thought to have replaced. However, the crowd soon got behind him as he took 5 wickets in the first innings. He played in a number of Test matches for Pakistan over the next 3 years, but appearances became more intermittent and he was dropped in 1999. Shahid Nazir made a return to the national team on 8 June 2006 when he was officially added to the Pakistani squad for their tour of England after an injury to Shoaib Akhtar. In 2008, he signed with the Indian Cricket League and played for the Lahore Badshahs. Shahid Nazir has not played international cricket since January 2007. Tahir Mahmood Mughal (; 25 April 1977 – 10 January 2021) was a Pakistani cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a medium-fast bowler. Career Mughal's career began with Gujranwala, for whom he began playing in the 1997/98 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy season. Mughal was the most frequent Gujranwala player in the competition, batting in seven of the nine matches played and in twelve innings. During this season he bowled two five-wicket innings, and made his first ten-wicket haul, against Lahore City, finishing with match figures of 10-112, achieved in his second first-class match.
