''Aadmi'' is a 1968 Indian Hindi drama film produced by P. S. Veerappa and directed by A. Bhimsingh. The film stars Dilip Kumar, Waheeda Rehman, Manoj Kumar, Simi Garewal and Pran. The film's music is by Naushad. The film is a remake of the Tamil film ''Aalayamani''. Besides being noted for Dilip Kumar's acting as a man in a wheelchair, the film is also known for its dialogues by Akhtar ul Iman and trick cinematography work by Faredoon A. Irani. It was a moderate success at the box office. Akhtar Ul Iman
Akhtar ul Iman (12 November 1915 9 March 1996) was a noted Urdu poet and screenwriter in Hindi cinema, who had a major influence on modern Urdu nazm. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue in 1963 for ''Dharmputra'' and 1966 for '' Waqt''. He was awarded the 1962 Sahitya Akademi Award in Urdu, for his Poetry Collection, ''Yadein'' (Memories), by Sahitya Akademi, India's National Academy of Letters. Talat Mahmood (24 February 1924 – 9 May 1998) was an Indian playback singer who is considered one of the popular male Indian film song and ghazal singers. Although he tried his luck as a film actor, he did not succeed a great deal in acting. Talat Mahmood received the Padma Bhushan award in 1992, in recognition of his artistic contributions in the spheres of cinematic and ghazal music.
