''A Qualcuna Piace Calvo'' is a 1959 Italian film, directed by Mario Amendola, starring Magali Noël, Antonio Cifariello, Roberto Risso and Gisella Sofio. Plot Giovanna has taken an infatuation with a film actor who has a bald head as a particular sign. The star needs a person to help him deal with the correspondence of his numerous admirers. Giovanna doesn't think twice and, disguising herself as a man, she gets hired as a typist for her secretary. The actor decides to replace his old harpist; the young musician Marcella shows up at the announcement, but the place is reserved for men only. She too decides to dress up as a man and gets the job. Mario Amendola
Mario Natalino Concetto Amendola (8 December 1910 – 22 December 1993) was an Italian screenwriter, film director and dramatist. Biography Amendola was born in Recco, which is located in Genova to parents from Rome. He began his career on stage in 1931 as a writer for avanspettacolo shows. During that time, he wrote dialogue for Erminio Macario, Totò and more. He ended this profession and moved to cinema in 1949. He wrote for 153 films between 1941 and 1987. He also directed 37 films between 1949 and 1975. Amendola collaborated with Bruno Corbucci on conceiving the Nico Giraldi film series starring Tomas Milian. Amendola died in 1993 from complications from diabetes. Giuseppe Porelli
Giuseppe Porelli (24 November 1897 – 5 March 1982) was an Italian stage, film and television actor. Life and career Born Giuseppe Porcelli in Naples, he graduated from the Istituto Tecnico and became an employee of Ferrovie dello Stato. While there, he spent his free time involved in amateur dramatics. In 1918 he left his job to accept employment as a professional actor in the company of Irma Gramatica. Porelli later entered some of the most important stage companies of the time, specializing as a sidekick in revue shows. Joe Sentieri (byname of Rino Luigi Sentieri; Genoa 3 March 1925, - Pescara 27 March 2007) was an Italian singer and actor. Career His first success was the winning of the competition "Canzonissima" in 1959 with his version of the number one hit " Piove (Ciao, ciao bambina)" by Domenico Modugno. In the same year he reached number two and number five in the Italian charts with "Ritroviamoci" and "Milioni di scintille".
