''A Pill for Loneliness'' is the sixth studio album by City and Colour. It was released on 4 October 2019 through frontman Dallas Green's own record label, Still Records. The lead single, "Astronaut", was released on 3 June 2019, with the album being officially announced on 15 August 2019. The release was City and Colour's fourth consecutive studio album to reach No. 1 on the Canadian Albums Chart. Dallas Michael John Albert Green (born September 29, 1980) is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter and record producer who records under the name City and Colour. He is also known for his contributions as a singer, rhythm guitarist and songwriter for the post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. In 2005, he debuted his first full-length album, ''Sometimes'', which achieved platinum certification in 2006. City and Colour began performing in small intimate venues between Alexisonfire tours. The name ''City and Colour'' comes from his own name: ''Dallas'', a city, and ''Green'', a colour. The Juno Awards of 2020, the 49th Juno Awards, was an awards presentation that was to be held at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on 15 March 2020. The awards and associated events were cancelled due to the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, making it the first Juno Awards since 1988 to be cancelled. Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s.
