"A Little Bit of Ecstasy" is a single by American recording artist Jocelyn Enriquez from her second album ''Jocelyn''. Released in July 1997, it reached number 1 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales, number 15 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart, number 25 on the Rhythmic Top 40 and number 55 on the Hot 100. Jocelyn Enriquez
Jocelyn Enriquez (born December 28, 1974) is a Filipino American dance-pop singer born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her most popular songs are "Do You Miss Me", "A Little Bit of Ecstasy", and the Stars on 54 (Enriquez alongside Ultra Naté and Amber) cover of Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind". Her success helped inspire and pave the way for many Asian American, particularly Filipino Americans from the San Francisco Bay Area, artists during the mid to late 1990s such as Buffy, Kai, One Vo1ce, Pinay, Sharyn Maceren, and others. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. The weekly tracking period for sales was initially Monday to Sunday when Nielsen started tracking sales in 1991, but was changed to Friday to Thursday in July 2015. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data. Radio airplay, which, unlike sales figures and streaming, is readily available on a real-time basis, is also tracked on a Friday to Thursday cycle effective with the chart dated July 17, 2021 (previously Monday to Sunday and before July 2015, Wednesday to Tuesday). In the issue dated March 16, 1985, '' Billboard'' magazine debuted its first chart devoted exclusively to 12-inch Singles Sales. The 50-position weekly ranking joined ''Billboard''s established Club Songs chart, reduced to the same 50 positions, both under the title Hot Dance/Disco. A coupling from MCA Records' ''Beverly Hills Cop'' soundtrack, Patti LaBelle's " New Attitude" and Harold Faltermeyer's "Axel F", held the No. 1 slot for the chart's first week and was also No. 1 for the second consecutive week on the most played dance/disco chart. On June 20, 1992, the chart was renamed Maxi-Singles Sales, then simply Dance Singles Sales on March 1, 2003. "Love to Love You Baby" is a song by American singer Donna Summer from her second studio album, '' Love to Love You Baby'' (1975). Produced by Pete Bellotte, and written by Italian musician Giorgio Moroder, Summer, and Bellotte, the song was first released as a single in the Netherlands in June 1975 as "Love to Love You" and then released worldwide in November 1975 as "Love to Love You Baby". ''Jocelyn'' is the second album by Jocelyn Enriquez, released in 1997 on Classified Records / Timber! Records / Tommy Boy Records. It features her biggest mainstream hits to date, " Do You Miss Me?" and "A Little Bit of Ecstasy". "Even If" was opted for a single and remixed by Soul Solution however "Get Into the Rhythm" was the 3rd and last single released from the album. "Stay With Me" was commercially released in Brazil. After several delays the album was finally released in May 1997.
