A House In The Hills
''A House in the Hills'' is a 1993 film directed by Ken Wiederhorn. It stars Michael Madsen and Helen Slater. Plot Alex is an aspiring actress, working as a waitress to make ends meet while she prepares to audition for a TV soap opera. To earn some extra money, she agrees to house-sit the home of friends for the weekend. The friends feel obligated to let Alex know that a robbery and murder has recently taken place at the house next door. Although she pretends to be unconcerned, Alex is understandably on edge when a stranger, Mickey, turns up at the house. He is a thief who holds her captive, but has a way about him that attracts Alex as well. Ken Wiederhorn is a former news and documentary editor at CBS and a film director, film and television director, known mainly for the horror films ''Shock Waves (film), Shock Waves'' and ''Return of the Living Dead Part II''. Other features include ''Eyes of a Stranger (1981 film), Eyes of a Stranger'', ''Meatballs II'', and ''A House in the Hills''. He also directed multiple episodes of ''21 Jump Street'', ''Dark Justice'', and ''Freddy's Nightmares''. Michael Søren Madsen (born September 25, 1957) is an American actor. He has starred in many films and television series, frequently collaborating with director Quentin Tarantino, most famously in the latter's debut film ''Reservoir Dogs'' (1992).
