''A Dangerous Game'' (german: Ein gefährliches Spiel) is a 1924 German silent film, silent adventure film directed by Harry Piel and starring Piel, Hermann Leffler and Claire Rommer.Grange p. 163 It is the sequel to ''The Fake Emir''. Harry Piel
Heinrich Piel (12 July 1892 – 27 March 1963), known professionally as Harry Piel, was a prolific German actor, film director, screenwriter, and film producer who was involved in over 150 films. Piel became a director in 1912, turning out such box-office successes as ''Mann Gegen Mann'' (1928), ''Achtung! - Auto-Diebe!'' (1930) and ''Artisten'' (1935). His last directorial effort was 1953's ''Gesprengte Gitter (Elephant Fury'', a.k.a. ''Panic''), which he also produced, wrote, and starred. Early life After attending elementary school in Benrath and High School in Derendorf, Piel became a cadet in 1909 on a sailing ship, the ''Grand Duchess Elizabeth''. In 1911, however, he finished his cadet hood and moved to Berlin in 1912 where he created the "Art Film Publishing House Company" and made, as a director, screenwriter and producer, his first feature ''Black Blood'' (1912) with Curt Goetz in the lead role. Maria Forescu
Maria Forescu (15 January 1875 28 October 1947) was an Austro-Hungarian-born Romanian opera singer and film actress. During the silent and talkies era of the German cinema, she appeared in several movies as a supporting actress. When Adolf Hitler came to power, Forescu, like other Jews of that period, was barred from her profession. Living undercover during the later years of World War II, she survived the Holocaust and died in 1947 in East Berlin. Biography Forescu was born Maria Füllenbaum on 15 January 1875, in Czernowitz, Austria-Hungary. She attended a boarding school in Paris. She studied singing, music and drama at the Prague Conservatory. Around the turn of the century, she debuted as an operetta singer and soon became a well known member of the renowned Viennese Carl Theater. Fred Immler
Ferdinand "Fred" Immler (10 December 1880 –20 February 1965) was a German stage and film actor. Life Born in Coburg, as a young adult he worked from 1900 to 1902 at Deutsche Bank in Berlin and from 1902 to 1904 at Dresdner Bank. 1905 he returned to Coburg as an actor-in-training and from 1906 to 1908 he performed at the local court theatre. From 1908 to 1909, he worked at the Residence Theater Hanover, 1909 at the Summer Theatre in Posen and from 1909 to 1910 at the court theatre in Gera. 1910, he played at the Liebich Theatre and at the Victoria Theatre in Breslau. In 1912, Immler made the transition to the medium of motion pictures and appeared opposite the Danish actress Asta Nielsen in several roles between 1912 and 1915, all directed by Nielsen's husband Urban Gad. At the outbreak of World War I, he enlisted in the German military.
