La Vela Puerca
La Vela Puerca is a Uruguayan rock band formed in Montevideo, Uruguay, in December 1995. Its founders and current members are Sebastián Teysera (lead vocals, frontman and main songwriter), Sebastián Cebreiro (vocals, songwriter), Nicolás Lieutier (bass guitar), Rafael Di Bello (guitar), Carlos Quijano (saxo alto) and Santiago Butler (guitar). The band's first appearance under the name ''La Vela Puerca'' was at a street party in Montevideo on December 24, 1995. Since then, several new members have joined. History Beginnings In 1996, frontman Sebastián Teysera entered a demo tape in a band contest. The rest of the band was not aware of this until they found out they were listed among the twenty finalists. It was only a month later that they received a phone call informing them of their success. The album was recorded and mixed by Julio Berta in the period November/December, 2006. The recording took place in three different studios: Panda Studios in Buenos Aires, Argentina, IFU in Montevideo, Uruguay, and Casa Blanca in Atlántida, Uruguay. Gustavo Alfredo Santaolalla (born 19 August 1951) is an Argentine musician, composer, and record producer. He is known for composing his film scores with his collaborator and acclaimed director Alejandro González Iñárritu, which composed the first four psychological drama films Iñárritu directed. He also composed the original scores for the video games ''The Last of Us'' (2013) and ''The Last of Us Part II'' (2020), as well as the themes for television series such as ''Jane the Virgin'' (2014–2019) and ''Making a Murderer'' (2015–2018). Aníbal Kerpel is an Argentine producer, engineer an mixer. Member of the progressive rock band Crucis, he began a successful career as a producer after the split of the band, working with artists such as Los Prisioneros, Café Tacvba, Divididos, Molotov, Gustavo Santaolalla, Bersuit Vergarabat, Juanes and Árbol, among others. During his career he has received a Grammy Award and over ten Latin Grammy Awards. Career Kerpel was one of the members of the progressive rock band Crucis, playing the keyboards.
