Half Moon Run
Half Moon Run is a Canadian indie rock band based in Montreal, Quebec. The group is known for their heavy use of layered percussion, group vocal harmonies, and for playing multiple instruments during live performances. Career 2009–2013: Formation and ''Dark Eyes'' Half Moon Run was formed in 2009 in Montreal's Mile End neighbourhood by Conner Molander and Dylan Phillips, who had both moved to Montreal from Vancouver. They posted an ad on Craigslist that said they were looking for a bassist and/or a drummer. The ad caught the attention of Devon Portielje, originally from Ottawa. Despite not being a bassist or a drummer, he got in touch with Molander and Phillips who agreed to let him join. Their debut album, '' Dark Eyes'', was released on 27 March 2012, with "Full Circle" being released on 19 March as the lead single. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Pietro Amato
Pietro Amato is a French horn player with the rock bands Torngat, Bell Orchestre, and The Luyas. He has also performed with Arcade Fire. Career In 2001, Amato, along with keyboardist Mathieu Charbonneau and percussionist Julien Poissant, formed Torngat, his longest standing musical project. The band self-released music for several years before signing with the Alien8 label. In 2006 Amati performed with the Bell Orchestre at the Montreal Jazz Festival, and promoted the group's release ''Recording a Tape the Colour of the Light'' with a March tour in Europe and a May tour of the US. In April he toured with Torngat in Eastern Canada, promoting the album ''La Rouge''. Colin Stetson (born March 3, 1975) is a Canadian-American saxophonist, multireedist, and composer based in Montreal. He is best known as a regular collaborator of the indie rock acts Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Bell Orchestre, and Ex Eye. In addition to saxophone, he plays clarinet, bass clarinet, French horn, flute, and cornet. Stetson has released various solo releases, including his debut and subsequent albums ''New History Warfare Vol. 1, 2, & 3,'' a collaborative studio album with violinist Sarah Neufeld entitled '' Never Were the Way She Was'' (2015),'' SORROW'': A Reimagining of Henryk Górecki's 3rd Symphony (2016), and '' All This I Do for Glory'' (2017). The Juno Awards of 2020, the 49th Juno Awards, was an awards presentation that was to be held at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on 15 March 2020.
