AWOL (2016 Film)
''AWOL'' is a 2016 romantic drama film written and directed by Deb Shoval and starring Lola Kirke and Breeda Wool. It is based on Shoval's 2010 short film of the same name. It is also Shoval's directorial debut. Premise A young woman, Joey, is in search of direction in her small town. A visit to an Army recruiting office appears to provide a path, but when she meets and falls in love with Rayna, that path diverges in ways that neither woman anticipates. Lola Kirke
Lola Clementine Kirke (born 27 September 1990) is a British-American actress and singer-songwriter. She starred in the 2015 film ''Mistress America'' and the Amazon Studios television series ''Mozart in the Jungle.'' She appeared in '' Gone Girl'' (2014), ''Gemini'' (2017), and ''Lost Girls'' (2020) among other films. Recent work includes HBO's ''Winning Time'' (2022) and upcoming Showtime limited series '' Three Women''. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Although the name "Rotten Tomatoes" connects to the practice of audiences throwing rotten tomatoes in disapproval of a poor stage performance, the original inspiration comes from a scene featuring tomatoes in the Canadian film ''Léolo'' (1992). Since January 2010, Rotten Tomatoes has been owned by Flixster, which was in turn acquired by Warner Bros in 2011. Dale Soules (born ) is an American actress known for starring in '' The Messenger'' and portraying Frieda Berlin in ''Orange Is the New Black'' from 2014 to 2019. Early life Soules was born on and grew up in the Greenwood Lake section of West Milford, New Jersey. She attended West Milford High School.
