ARD Goal Of The Century
The Goal of the Year in Germany is, like the '' Goal of the Month'' ( Tor des Monats), the ''Goal of the Decade'' and ''Goal of the Century'', an individual football award selected by spectators of the ''Sportschau'' ( ARD German TV), among spectacular or important football goals scored in or for Germany. Klaus Fischer won it three times; his 1977 " Bicycle kick" was also pronounced ''Goal of the Century''. He scored it on 16 November 1977 in the international game of Germany versus Switzerland in the Neckarstadion, Stuttgart. Details The ''Goal of the Month Award'' and its sister event, the ''Goal of the Year Award'', were incepted in 1971 by the German TV station ARD, one of two public broadcasting channels. Each month, the GotM is held, and five especially spectacular, unusual or important goals are shortlisted for the viewers to vote on. Karl-Heinz "Kalle" Rummenigge (; born 25 September 1955) is a German football executive and former professional player. He was the longtime Chairman of Executive Board of FC Bayern München AG, a daughter company of German Bundesliga team Bayern Munich. Oliver Bierhoff
Oliver Bierhoff (born 1 May 1968) is a German football official and former player who played as a forward. He has previously served as the national team director of the German Football Association. A tall, strong and prolific goalscorer, Bierhoff was mostly renowned for his excellent abilities in the air, and as a target man, being able to deliver pin-point headers towards goal. Jean-Pierre Roger Guillaume Papin (born 5 November 1963) is a French football manager and former professional player who played as a forward. He was named the Ballon d'Or and IFFHS World's Top Goal Scorer of the Year in 1991. Papin was known for his goalscoring, striking ability and volleys, which his fans nicknamed ''Papinades'' in his honour. In a 17-year career in many of Europe's biggest leagues, he scored nearly 350 goals in over 620 matches. Papin achieved his greatest success while playing for Marseille between 1986 and 1992. Bernd Schuster
Bernd Schuster (born 22 December 1959) is a German former professional footballer of the late 1970s through early 1990s, who won club titles playing for the Spanish sides FC Barcelona (1980–1987) and Real Madrid (1988–1990). Andreas Müller (born 13 December 1962 in Stuttgart) is a German former footballer who played mainly as a defensive midfielder. Football career Müller started his professional career at hometown's VfB Stuttgart, where he remained four seasons; in his first season, he netted five times in 20 league matches, helping the club clinch the title (with the title decided on goal difference, he found the net in consecutive 6–0 routings, against Fortuna Düsseldorf and at 1. Klaus "Auge" Augenthaler (born 26 September 1957) is a German former professional football player and manager.
