Margaret Beale Spencer is an American psychologist whose work centers on the effects of ethnicity, gender, and race on youth and adolescent development. She currently serves as the Marshall Field IV Professor of Urban Education in the Department of Comparative Human Development at the University of Chicago. Dr. Spencer's career spans more than 30 years and consists of over 115 published articles and chapters, stemming from work funded by over two-dozen foundations and federal agencies. Education and career Margaret Beale Spencer received her master's degree from the University of Kansas, and went on to receive her PhD in Child and Developmental Psychology from the University of Chicago in 1976. Eduardo Salas is an American industrial and organizational (I/O) psychologist and human factors psychologist. He is the Allyn R. & Gladys M. Cline Chair Professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences at Rice University. Salas was a senior research psychologist and head of the training technology development branch of the Naval Air Warfare Center's Training Systems Division. Career Navy Salas was born and raised in Peru. After completing his PhD from the Old Dominion University, he joined the United States Navy as a senior research psychologist and head of the Training Technology Development Branch of the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command in Orlando. Jonathan Seth Kellerman (born August 9, 1949) is an American novelist, psychologist, and Edgar- and Anthony Award–winning author best known for his popular mystery novels featuring the character Alex Delaware, a child psychologist who consults for the Los Angeles Police Department. Born on the Lower East Side of New York City, his family relocated to Los Angeles when Jonathan was nine years old. Kellerman graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a doctor of philosophy degree in psychology in 1974, and began working as a staff psychologist at the USC School of Medicine, where he eventually became a full clinical professor of pediatrics. Beverly Christine Daniel Tatum (born September 27, 1954) is a psychologist, administrator, and educator who has conducted research and written books on the topic of racism. Focusing specifically on race in education, racial identity development in teenagers, and assimilation of black families and youth in white neighborhoods. Tatum uses works from her students, personal experience, and psychology learning. Tatum served from 2002 to 2015 as the ninth president of Spelman College, the oldest historically black women's college in the United States.
