AD Renting (cycling Team)
AD Renting (All-Drie Renting), often simply called ADR, was a Belgian professional cycling team that existed from 1987 to 1989. Tour de France Despite its short history and lack of funds, the team was very successful in the Tour de France. Eddy Planckaert won the points classification in 1988 to go with the victory he achieved in the highly regarded monument the Tour of Flanders earlier that year. In that same spring campaign, Dirk Demol won the Paris–Roubaix after a breakaway of 222 kilometers. The biggest success however was when Greg LeMond, a new signing, won the 1989 Tour de France with the team, taking three stage victories in the process. Gregory James LeMond (born June 26, 1961) is an American former professional road racing cyclist, entrepreneur, and anti-doping advocate. A two-time winner of the Road Race World Championship (1983 and 1989) and a three-time winner of the Tour de France (1986, 1989, and 1990). LeMond is the only American male to win the Tour de France and is considered by many to be the greatest American cyclist of all time, one of the great all-round cyclists of the modern era, and an icon of the sport's globalisation. LeMond began his professional cycling career in 1981. In 1983, he became the first American male cyclist to win the Road World Championship.
