ACF Fiorentina–Juventus F.C. Rivalry
The ACF Fiorentina–Juventus F.C. rivalry is an inter-city football rivalry contested between Florence-based Fiorentina and Turin-based Juventus. Unlike most other football derbies, this one is borne not out of geographical proximity (such as the Derby della Madonnina); political differences (El Clásico); or longstanding competitiveness ( Liverpool–Manchester United rivalry), but rather is a development from the latter decades of the 20th century based on local patriotism, or ''campanilismo'', bitterness and accusations of 'thievery'. The rivalry has been fuelled by their controversial meetings in cup finals, and competition in the transfer market. A player transferring from one club to the other, especially from Florence to Turin, is usually branded a 'traitor' by fans. 1928–29 Divisione Nazionale
The 1928–29 Divisione Nazionale season was won by Bologna. This was the last edition of the Divisione Nazionale until it was succeeded by the creation of the Serie A and the Serie B. The Stadio Renato Curi is a football stadium in the Italian city of Perugia. It is home to A.C. Perugia Calcio. The stadium is named after Renato Curi (1953–1977), who died from a heart attack during a game against Juventus on 30 October 1977. Its capacity is 28,000 spectators. The 1990 FIFA World Cup was the 14th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was held from 8 June to 8 July 1990 in Italy, the second country to host the event for a second time (the first being Mexico in 1986). 1990 UEFA Cup Final
The 1990 UEFA Cup Final was an association football tie played on 2 May 1990 and 16 May 1990 between Juventus and Fiorentina of Italy. Juventus won 3–1 on aggregate. This was the first final between two Italian sides in the UEFA competitions' history and the third between two clubs of the same country. The first game was the last official football game played at the Stadio Comunale until 2006, when Stadio delle Alpi was closed. The lira (; plural lire) was the currency of Italy between 1861 and 2002. It was first introduced by the Napoleonic Kingdom of Italy in 1807 at par with the French franc, and was subsequently adopted by the different states that would eventually form the Kingdom of Italy in 1861.
