AAA Fusión Championship
The AAA Fusión Championship ("''Campeonato AAA Fusión''" in Spanish) was a professional wrestling championship promoted by the AAA promotion in Mexico. The first champion was crowned on March 17, 2013, when Fénix won a tournament for the title. On August 17, 2014, the title was unified with the AAA Cruiserweight Championship. The championship was generally contested in professional wrestling matches, in which participants execute scripted finishes rather than contend in direct competition. History In late 2012, AAA introduced a new television program, titled ''AAA Fusión'', which would start airing alongside the promotion's primary television program, ''Sin Límite''. Rey Fénix (born December 30, 1990) is a Mexican ''luchador enmascarado'' (masked professional wrestler) signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where he is current double champion as the Latin American and World Cruiserweight Champion. In AEW, Fénix currently holds one-third of the AEW World Trios Championship along with his Death Triangle stablemates: Pac, and his real-life older brother, Penta El Zero Miedo. Víctor Manuel Soto Flores (born July 23, 1975) is a Mexican '' Luchador'' or professional wrestler. He is currently signed to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, where he is the former AAA Latin American Champion. Rey de Reyes (Spanish for "King of Kings") was professional wrestling event produced by the AAA promotion, which took on March 17, 2013, at Plaza de Toros Monumental Lorenzo Garza in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The event was the 17th event produced under the Rey de Reyes name and also the 17th time that the Rey de Reyes tournament was held. Manuel Ortiz Partida (born May 22, 1971) is a Mexican retired professional wrestler who wrestled on the independent circuit in Mexico, particularly in the Tijuana area.
