The ''Encyclopaedia of Chess Openings'' () is a reference work describing the state of opening theory in chess, originally published in five volumes from 1974 to 1979 by the Serbian company Šahovski Informator (Chess Informant). It is currently undergoing its fifth edition. ''ECO'' may also refer to the opening classification system used by the encyclopedia. Overview Both ''ECO'' and ''Chess Informant'' are published by the Belgrade-based company Šahovski Informator. The Sony Alpha 57 (model name SLT-A57) is a Digital single-lens reflex camera that replaced the A55 in 2012. The camera features an electronic viewfinder and a translucent mirror. The main advantage of a translucent mirror is that it needn't flip up out of the way when taking a picture in order to expose the sensor, but the camera can focus and capture images simultaneously. The camera's 15-point autofocus system can be set to single, continuous or automatic and is arranged towards the centre. The 12 fps burst mode is available only in "speed priority" mode but can reach up to 5.5 fps burst rate in combination with any other settings. Bartini A-57
The Bartini A-57 was an experimental Soviet bomber of the mid-1950s that was designed by Robert Ludvigovich Bartini to take off and land on water. The aircraft was never put into production. The A-57 was equipped with a lift jet (similar to VTOL aircraft today) facing downward to assist its take-off from the surface of the ocean. It was intended to refuel from submarines out at sea. The bomber had a long, slender delta wing called the Bartini Wing. A 1500 mph speed was planned. It was tested in wind tunnels, but the project was scrapped in 1957 before actual production could begin. Chrysler A57 Multibank
The Chrysler A57 Multibank is a 30-cylinder engine that was created in 1941 as America entered World War II. It consists of five banks of inline-6 cylinder engines. It was born out of the necessity for a rear-mounted tank engine to be developed and produced in the shortest time possible for use in the M3A4 Lee medium tank and its successor M4A4 Sherman medium tank. Each had lengthened hulls to accommodate the A57. In order to use existing tooling, five Chrysler flathead engines (bore , stroke ) were arranged around a central shaft, producing a unique 30-cylinder engine in a relatively compact but heavy package. The combined assembly consisted of five of these straight-six engines mounted in a pseudo-radial fashion upon a central cast-iron crankcase. Bundesautobahn 57
is a German Autobahn that begins at the Dutch-German border near Goch and ends in Köln. It runs parallel to the Rhine River. Neuss and Krefeld are the biggest cities at this motorway. The A 57 is continuation of the Dutch A77. Because of its high economic importance, its nickname is "Trans-Niederrhein-Magistrale". Most of it is two lanes each way only and prone to traffic jams in the rush hour. Currently the sections junction 15 - 18, 19 - 24 and 29 - 30 have three lanes each way. The section from junction 28 to 29 southbound has the possibility to open the hard shoulder as a third lane in heavy traffic. Traffic jams are possible between junctions 10 and 15, 17 and 20 as well as around junctions 27/28. There is a variable speed limit between junction 10 and 23. The sections from junction 23 to 24 and 27 to 30 have a limit of 100 km/h. Between junctions 27 and 28 the limit was reduced to 80 km/h between 10pm and 6am at night. The Tangenziale di Mestre (Mestre beltway), or Autostrada A57, was opened to traffic on 3 September 1972 in northern Italy.
