''A. K. 47'' is an Indian Kannada-language action film, directed by Om Prakash Rao, starring Shiva Rajkumar, Chandni, Om Puri and Girish Karnad in pivotal roles. The music was scored by Hamsalekha. The film was simultaneously made in Telugu with the same name, starring Saikumar, with most of the cast and crew (except Saikumar) retained from the Kannada version. This film was remade in Hindi with the same title starring Kannada actor Aditya in his acting debut. The movie is said to be the first Kannada movie to collect 2 crores (gross) in the first week of its release.
