A. Skjegstad
Adolf Skjegstad, who usually called himself A. Skjegstad (11 October 1902 – 27 February 1988) was a Norwegian journalist. He was born in Løten as a son of Kristian Olsen Skjegstad (1871–1959) and Marie Krog Borchgrevink (1873–1954). He had five brothers and two sisters, mostly younger than he was. He married Petra Røhne (1903–1984), and they had two sons and one daughter. They celebrated their gold wedding anniversary in 1983. He began his journalistic career in 1917 in '' Østerdalens Arbeiderblad''. He later worked in ''Demokraten'', and was involved in the labour movement. In 1923, when the Young Communist League constituted itself as youth wing of the Communist Party, he was a board member of the Hedmark branch. He later became one of the few to go from a labour newspaper to a high-profile bourgeois and conservative newspaper, in his case ''Aftenposten''. Løten is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Hedemarken. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Løten. Other villages in the municipality include Ådalsbruk, Heimdal, and Brenneriroa. The municipality is the 246th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Vegard Sletten
Vegard Sletten (8 May 1907 – 17 December 1984) was a Norwegian newspaper editor. He worked in ''Stavanger Aftenblad'' from 1929 to 1945, except for the World War II years during parts of which he was imprisoned, and then in ''Verdens Gang'' from 1945. He edited the latter newspaper from 1967 to 1977, and chaired both the Norwegian Union of Journalists and the Norwegian Press Association. Like his father Klaus Sletten he was also a Nynorsk supporter. Early and personal life Sletten was born in Kristiania as a son of newspaper editor Klaus Daae Sletten (1877–1946) and Margit Bruun (1875–1958). He was a nephew of Jakob Hveding Sletten and a maternal grandson of Christopher Bruun. From Kristiania his family soon moved to Stavanger via Trondhjem and Ålesund. He finished his secondary education in Stavanger in 1925, and studied at the University of Oslo, the University of Paris and the École des hautes études en sciences sociales between 1925 and 1928.
