A. M. Ariff is an Indian politician and Member of parliament, Member of Parliament representing Alappuzha (Lok Sabha constituency), Alappuzha constituency from 2019. A member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), he represented Aroor constituency in Kerala Legislative Assembly from 2006 to 2019. Ariff made his first win from Aroor in 2006 defeating veteran political leader K. R. Gowri Amma. A. M. Ariff has been elected 3 times from Aroor to Kerala Legislative in the years 2006, 2011 and 2016. Ariff was elected to Loksabha in 2019 from Alappuzha. In a major electoral upset in the 2006 assembly elections, he defeated then-state Agriculture Minister and veteran politician K.R. Gouriamma. Mannar, India
Mannar is a census town in Chengannur Taluk in Alappuzha District of Kerala state, India, on State Highway 6. It is also known as the Bell Metal Town. Location Mannar is located on the banks of the Pamba River, Manimala River and Achankovil river. Mannar is 11 km from Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Haripad and 8 km from Mavelikara. Left Democratic Front (Kerala)
The Left Democratic Front (LDF) is an alliance of left-wing political parties in the state of Kerala, India. It is the current ruling political alliance of Kerala, since 2016. It is one of the two major political alliances in Kerala, the other being Indian National Congress-led United Democratic Front, each of which has been in power alternately for the last four decades. LDF has won the elections to the State Legislature of Kerala in the years 1980, 1987, 1996, 2006, 2016 and had a historic re-election in 2021 where an incumbent government was re-elected for first time in 40 years. Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) is a youth organisation in India. It was founded in its inaugural conference held from 1–3 November 1980 at Shaheed Kartar Singh Saraba village in Ludhiana, Punjab. DYFI identifies itself to be an independent organisation.
