A. J. John, Anaparambil
Anaparambil Joseph John (1893–1957) was an Indian freedom fighter and statesman. He was Chief Minister of Travancore-Cochin and Governor of Madras State. Early life He was born in 1893, at Thalayolaparambu and had his primary education at the local school and finished his school final from Vaikom High School. After doing the degree in Law in 1919 from the Law College, Madras, he began his career as a lawyer. The turning point in John's life came when he plunged into freedom struggle after abandoning his bright future in his profession. He was one of the founding leaders of ''Travancore State Congress''. He was in the forefront of the historic ''Abstention Movement'' which rocked Travancore for some time; an agitation against social injustice staged by the weaker sections and backward classes for proportionate representations in government service. Thalayolaparambu is a town situated in Kottayam district in Kerala, India. The governor of Tamil Nadu is the head of state of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The governors have similar powers and functions at the state level as those of the president of India at central level. Panampilly Govinda Menon (1 October 1906 – 23 May 1970) was an Indian politician, freedom fighter, and lawyer. He was born in a village near Kathikkudam and completed graduation from '' St.Thomas College, Thrissur''. He started his legal practice as a junior to Adv. M. C. Joseph. He was the first treasurer of Kerala Yukthivadi Sangham. He moved his practice to Ernakulam afterwards. Later in the 1930s he became prominent in the politics of the Kingdom of Cochin and served briefly as the Prime Minister of Cochin state in 1947. After the union of Travancore and Cochin, he served as minister for education under Parur T. K. Narayana Pillai and minister for finance under A. J. John, Anaparambil. Kanyakumari District
Kanniyakumari district is one of the 38 districts in Tamil Nadu state and the southernmost district in mainland India. It stands second in terms of population density among the districts of Tamil Nadu.
