San Felice Aversa Normanna (usually referred to as Aversa Normanna ) is an Italian association football club located in Aversa, Campania. Currently it plays in Serie D. History The club was founded in 1925. In the 2007–08 Serie D season, the team won direct promotion to Lega Pro Seconda Divisione after finishing first in ''Girone'' H. They also won the Scudetto Dilettanti (the over-all Serie D championship) by winning the end-of-year tournament played amongst the nine division winners. Aversa Normanna were relegated in 2012–13, but readmitted to fill a vacancy. Something similar happened the following season: after being defeated by Tuttocuoio in the relegation playoffs, Aversa Normanna was successively allowed a spot in the 2014–15 Lega Pro season (the inaugural one as a unified third tier) to fill one of four vacancies in the league. Aversa
Aversa () is a city and ''comune'' in the Province of Caserta in Campania, southern Italy, about 24 km north of Naples. It is the centre of an agricultural district, the ''Agro Aversano'', producing wine and cheese (famous for the typical buffalo mozzarella). Aversa is also the main seat of the faculties of Architecture and Engineering of the ''Seconda università degli studi di Napoli'' (Second University of Naples). The Serie D () is the top level of semi-professional football in the country. The fourth tier of the Italian league system, the competition sits beneath the third professional league, Serie C. It is administered by the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti and is organized by the Roman ''Comitato Interregionale'' (Interregional Committee), a "league in the league" inside the LND. 2014–15 Lega Pro
The 2014–15 Lega Pro was the first season of the unified Lega Pro division in place of the old Prima Divisione and Seconda Divisione. The league is composed of 60 teams divided into three different groups of 20 each. Teams A total of 60 teams will contest the league, divided into three groups of 20 teams. The Serie C () is the third-highest division in the Italian football league system after the Serie B and Serie A. The Lega Italiana Calcio Professionistico (Lega Pro) is the governing body that runs the Serie C. 2007–08 Serie D
The 2007–08 Serie D was the sixty edition of the top level Italian non-professional football championship. It represented the fifth tier in the Italian football league system. It was composed by 162 teams divided into nine divisions of 18 teams each. The regular Serie D season started September 2, 2007 and continued through to May 4, 2008 with each team playing 34 matches, two matches against every other team in the division. The nine division winners were automatically promoted to 2008–09 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione, while the two last-placed teams were automatically relegated to Eccellenza. Lega Pro Seconda Divisione was the fourth highest football league in Italy, the lowest with a professional status. Usually it consisted of 36 teams, but in the 2011–12 season, there were 41 teams divided geographically into two divisions of 20 and 21. Group A covered northern and north-central Italy, Group B south-central and southern Italy. Until the 2007–08 season, the league was known as Serie C2. Before the 1978–79 season, there were only three professional football leagues in Italy, the third being Serie C.
