Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Olimpia Colligiana is an Italian association football club based in Colle di Val d'Elsa, Tuscany that competes in Eccellenza Tuscany. History The origins of U.S. Colligiana The U.S. Colligiana club was founded 21 April 1922 with Remo Bocci as its first chairman. Initially the club was also involved in other sports, such as gymnastics and cycling. The club quickly rose through the Italian leagues, making the Third Division (fourth level of Italian football) in the 1926–27 season (finishing in second place under coach Frigerio) and 1927–28 season. In the 1928–29 season U.S. Colligiana made it to the championship tournament in the Second Division (third level of Italian football), finishing fifth place in group G. Stadio Gino Manni formerly Stadio Comunale Gino Manni is the main stadium of municipality of Colle di Val d'Elsa. It was inaugurated in 1982 and is the playground of Colligiana, the football team of Colle Val d'Elsa, in 2008-09 and 2009–10 seasons he played in the Pro League Second Division championship was named Gino Manni, Colligiana football glory, boasting in Serie A in the thirties and forties and, repeatedly coached the local football team, bringing in the 1957/58 season to the European record of consecutive victories. Mario Corso
Mario Corso (; 25 August 1941 – 19 June 2020) was an Italian football player and coach. A famed and dynamic left winger, he was regarded as one of the greatest Italian players in his position, earning the nicknames "Mandrake" and "God's Left Foot", due to his skills, free kick technique and crossing ability. Corso was mostly remembered for his highly successful club career at Inter, and was a key member of Helenio Herrera's ''Grande Inter'' side. Eccellenza 2006–07
The Eccellenza (, "excellence") is the fifth level (since 2014–15) of Italian football. It is a regional league, composed of 28 divisions divided geographically. All 20 regions are represented by at least one division except for Piedmont and Aosta Valley which share 2 divisions. Veneto, Tuscany, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna and Campania also have 2 divisions each, while the regions of Lombardy and Lazio have 3 divisions. Promotion and relegation After the regular season is completed, the first-placed team for each division is automatically promoted to Serie D. Luca Tognozzi
Luca Tognozzi (born 3 October 1977) is a former Italian footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Early career He began his career in the youth team at Fiorentina, but due to a lack of opportunities at this level he played for Colligiana and Castiglionese before moving to Montevarchi, who were then in the Serie C1. Unable to break into the first team he moved back to Serie D, first with Fortis Juventus, who were managed by Maurizio Sarri. He became one of the manager's favourite players and followed Sarri first to Sansovino where he helped the club to promotion from serie D to Serie C2. He then rejoined Sarri at Sangiovannese where a promotion to Serie C1 followed. Success with both of these clubs saw him move to Pescara then in Serie B where he played well for two seasons. Piero Braglia
Piero Braglia (born 10 January 1955) is an Italian football manager and former player, currently in charge of Serie C club Gubbio. Career Playing A midfielder, Braglia started his professional career with Serie C team Montevarchi, then making his debut in the Serie A in 1976 with Fiorentina. He then spent six seasons with Catanzaro, five of them being in the Italian top flight. He then retired in 1987 after spells with Serie B teams Triestina and Catania.
