Società Sportiva Chieti Calcio is an Italian association football club, based in Chieti, Abruzzo. Currently it plays in Serie D. History Foundation Chieti was founded in 1922 as Calcio Chieti with a capital of 50 cents. Stadio Guido Angelini is a multi-use stadium in Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of S.S. Chieti Calcio. History The stadium, named after the historic president of S.S. Chieti Calcio Guido Angelini, was built in 1969 in the lower part of the city and officially opened in 1970 with a exhibition game, friendly match (refereed by Concetto Lo Bello) against the A.C. Fabio Quagliarella (; born 31 January 1983) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serie A club Sampdoria, whom he captains. Fabio Grosso
Fabio Grosso (; born 28 November 1977) is an Italian former professional footballer and current manager of Frosinone Calcio. After playing for several smaller Italian clubs, such as Renato Curi, Chieti and Perugia, he made his breakthrough during his two seasons with Palermo, which earned him a move to defending Serie A champions Inter Milan in 2006. During his only season with Inter, he helped the club defend the Serie A title and win the Supercoppa Italiana. He later also won titles with Lyon in France and with Juventus. Enrico Chiesa (; born 29 December 1970) is an Italian football coach and former striker. A prolific goalscorer, Chiesa played for several Italian clubs throughout his career, and performed regularly in Serie A for over a decade, winning titles with Sampdoria, Parma, and Fiorentina; he later also spent a spell with Lazio.
