A.S.A. Harrison
Susan Harrison (1948 – 14 April 2013) was a Canadian writer and artist who published under the name A. S. A. Harrison. She lived in Toronto and was married to visual artist John Massey. Harrison made a name for herself with performance art in the late 1960s, collaborating with Margaret Dragu. Karin Slaughter
Karin Slaughter (born January 6, 1971) is an American Crime fiction, crime writer. She has written 21 novels, which have sold more than 40 million copies and have been published in 120 countries. Her first novel, ''Blindsighted'' (2001), was published in 27 languages and made the Crime Writers' Association's Dagger Award shortlist for "Best Thriller (genre), Thriller Debut" of 2001. Slaughter also won the 2015 CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger award for her novel ''Cop Town''. John Massey (artist)
John Massey (born July 6, 1950) is a Canadian artist from Toronto, Canada. Since the 1980s, Massey's installations, sculptures, and films have established him as one of Canada's prominent contemporary artists. Massey combines conventional photography with computer manipulation. In his photograph and video projects he uses minimal effects to create works that inhabit a middle ground between the depicted and the created. His works are widely exhibited and are in many private and public collections, including the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Fonds National dâ Art Contemporain, Paris, and the Ydessa Hendeles Art Foundation. In 2006, Massey's work was included in the exhibition "Beyond Cinema: The Art of Projection" at the Hamburger Bahnhof in Berlin. In 2014, his works were included in the Montreal Biennale. Margaret Dragu
Margaret Dragu (born 1953) is a Canadian dancer, writer, performance artist and feminist. Career Dragu was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, in 1953. Growing up she was influenced by traditional Romanian folk dancing. As an adult she spent time in New York, Calgary, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. She began her dance career in Calgary in 1969, studying under Yone Kvietys Young, who was an instructor of movement using elements of Dada. From Calgary, Dragu moved to New York in 1971, where she began working with Alwin Nikolais, Murray Louis, and the Laura Foreman dance company, as well as members of the Judson Church. Her work with movement evolved to include elements of "burlesque, tap dancing, flamenco, and theatre." In 1973 Dragu moved to Montreal where she began a lengthy career as a striptease artist.
