A.M. Sixty (also known as AM60) is an indie pop group led by Chris Root. History Chris Root first became well known as a member of The Mosquitos in the United States. V2 Records
V2 Records (or V2 Music; V2 being an abbreviation for Virgin 2) is a record label that was purchased by Universal Music Group in 2007 and sold to IASin 2013. In the Benelux, V2 operates separately from PIAS, as the label bought itself out from Universal in 2007. History The label was founded in 1996 by Richard Branson, five years after he sold Virgin Records to EMI. V2 management was led by the same individuals that built Branson's renowned balloon and the control position was held by a Canadian public corporation. The company was restructured after running into financial difficulties with Branson taking control and reinventing the brand. Mosquitos is a New York City–based musical band consisting of guitarist Chris Root, keyboardist Jon Marshall Smith, and Brazilian singer JuJu Stulbach. Shifty Disco was a British independent record label based in Oxford, England. The record label was started by local enthusiasts in January 1997 and their early releases were often featured by John Peel on his BBC Radio 1 show. Shifty Disco has released recordings by artists such as Beulah, Mark Gardener, Unbelievable Truth, and Young Knives. One of Shifty Disco's early, defining initiatives was the Shifty Disco singles club which released a new single every month to subscribers.
