A.E.P. Olympias Patras (Greek: Α.Ε.Π. Ολυμπιάς Πάτρα) or Olympiadas Patras (Greek: Ολυμπιάδα Πάτρα), is a Greek multi-sport club that is located in Patras. It was founded in 1961. A.E.P. Olympias is one of the most historic athletic unions in Patras. The athletic union's team colors are orange and white. The club's current president is Nikolaos Bogonikolos. History The athletic union was founded in 1961, in a tavern that was owned by Birba, at Messolongiou and Fotila Streets. Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. It is run by HEBA ( el, ΕΣΑΚΕ, link=no), under the legal authority of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). It is the highest-tier level of the Greek league system. Achaea
Achaea () or Achaia (), sometimes transliterated from Greek as Akhaia (, ''Akhaïa'' ), is one of the regional units of Greece. It is part of the region of Western Greece and is situated in the northwestern part of the Peloponnese peninsula. The capital is Patras which is the third largest city in Greece. Prosfygika (Greek: Προσφυγικά, meaning "refugee settlement") is a List of neighbourhoods in Patras, neighbourhood in the southern Greek city of Patras. It was founded in 1922 as displaced persons from Asia Minor arrived in the city after the Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922), 1919–1922 Greco-Turkish War and the subsequent population exchange between Greece and Turkey. It is estimated that approximately 6-7,000 refugees came to Patra in 1922.
