A.C.D. Trissino-Valdagno
Football Club Valdagno is an Italian football club based in Valdagno, Veneto. History The first club was founded ad FC Pasubio in 1926 and became AC Valdagno in 1928. In 1933 it was bought by the textile manufacturers Marzotto. It played in Serie B during the ‘50s. In 1997 it started the first of many confusing fusions with many clubs, which led to a long list of bankruptcies. Trissino-Valdagno A secondary club was founded in 2012 after the merger between A.C.D. Trissino and A.C. Nuova Valdagno. The club was dissolved in 2014 after the merger with S.S.D. Calcio Marano, founding F.C.D. Altovicentino. Before the merger Trissino ''A.C. Trissino'' was founded in 1924, later changing its name to ''A.C.D. Trissino'', with this name in the season 2011-12 won Eccellenza Veneto/A and so was promoted to Serie D. Eccellenza Veneto is the regional Eccellenza football division for clubs in Veneto, Italy. It is competed amongst 32 teams, in two different groups (A and B). The Promozione (, "promotion") is the sixth level in the Italian football league system. Each individual league winner within the Promozione level progresses to their closest regional league in the Eccellenza level. Depending on each league's local rules, a number of teams each year are relegated from each league, to the 7th level of Italian football, the Prima Categoria. This level of Italian football is completely amateur and is run on a regional level. Valdagno
Valdagno is a town and ''comune'' in the province of Vicenza, north-eastern Italy. The town was the birthplace of the textile manufacturing company Marzotto, and home to the Italian hotel chain "Jolly Hotels" Geography The town extends along the river Agno, from which Valdagno takes its name, and the homonymous valley surrounded by hills; the Piccole Dolomiti and the Alti Lessini. The presence of the river Agno influenced both the town origins and its development; in particular, it provided water to the population, increasing industrial activities especially in the textile area.
