Rugby League
Rugby league football, commonly known as just rugby league and sometimes football, footy, rugby or league, is a full-contact sport played by two teams of thirteen players on a rectangular field measuring 68 metres (75 yards) wide and 112–122 metres (122 to 133 yards) long with H shaped posts at both ends. It is one of the two codes of rugby football, the other being rugby union. It originated in 1895 in Huddersfield, Yorkshire as the result of a split from the Rugby Football Union over the issue of payments to players.Tony Collins, ''Rugby League in Twentieth Century Britain'' (2006), p.3 The rules of the game governed by the new Northern Rugby Football Union progressively changed from those of the RFU with the specific aim of producing a faster and more entertaining game to appeal to spectators, on whose income the new organisation and its members depended. The A-Team (comics)
''The A-Team'' TV series and film have been adapted into several comics. Marvel Comics In 1984, Marvel Comics released an ''A-Team'' title, which ran for 3 issues. The three issues were published within the same month so that they could be bundled together and sold in chain stores. Jim Salicrup, who edited all three issues and wrote two of them, said that due to the tight deadline and the unavailability of ''A-Team'' episodes on home media, he watched a single episode of the series on TV and delivered both his plots to production studio Universal for their approval the next day. The Marvel Comics series was sold individually and released in "packs": one pack contained the first 2 issues, the other all 3 issues. Each pack was in a sealed transparent bag featuring Marvel's logo and a picture of Spider-Man. Marvel released the series in a trade paperback called ''The A-Team Storybook.'' (). The Marvel US comics were also reprinted by Marvel UK in a variety of formats, including har ...
