98th Territorial Defence Battalion 'Azov-Dnipro'
The 98th Territorial Defence Battalion 'Azov-Dnipro' is a Ukrainian battalion of the Territorial Defence Forces, a branch of the larger Azov Regiment of the National Guard. The Battalion is led by Rodion Kudryashov, the commander of Azov's reconnaissance and sabotage company. Azov Regiment
The Special Operations Detachment "Azov" (), also known as the Azov Regiment ( uk, Полк «Азов», translit=Polk "Azov") and formerly the Azov Battalion ( uk, батальйон «Азов», translit=Batalion "Azov"), is a unit of the National Guard of Ukraine formerly based in Mariupol, in the coastal region of the Sea of Azov, from which it derives its name. Territorial Defense Forces (Ukraine)
The Territorial Defence Forces ( uk, Війська територіальної оборони, translit=Viiska terytorialnoi oborony) are the military reserve component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Territorial Defence Forces were formed after the reorganization of the Territorial Defence Battalions, volunteer militias created during the War in Donbas under the command of the Ministry of Defence. Territorial Defence units existed from 2015 until 2021 in semi-organized forms until 2022 when they were formally organized into a unified defense corps under the Territorial Defence Forces. It is formed by a core of part-time reservists, usually former combat veterans, and in cases of war can be expanded to local civilian volunteers for local defense, in a case of mass mobilization. Southern Ukraine Offensive
The southern Ukraine campaign is an ongoing theatre of operation in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine which began on 24 February 2022. From their base in Russian-occupied Crimea, the Russian Armed Forces attacked Kherson Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast, and Zaporizhzhia Oblast in southern Ukraine, battling the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Orikhiv
Orikhiv ( uk, Орі́хів, ) is a city in Polohy Raion, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine. As of January 2022 its population was approximately History Orikhiv was founded in about 1783 near the Konka River; it was incorporated in 1801. It is situated about southeast of Aleksandrovsk (today Zaporizhzhia), and almost the same distance north of the Molochna Kolonia (''Milk Colony'').
